Apiary Technician 2 Postions Available (NOC Code 8253)

Apiary technician duties: Handle feed and care for bee colonies. Coordinate in teh production of nuics, queens or replacement hives. Recognize and report hive health issues, and apply appropriate cures/controls. Move hives. Drive and maintain vehicles. Collect and package honey, bees wax. Bee yard maintainence. Manufacture, assemble and maintain hive equipment. Operate and maintain other equipment. Keep field and or produciton records. Interact with external farm persons. One year of previous commercial beekeeping required.

Start Date: March 1-April 15/ 2019 End Date: Sept 30 – October 15/2019 Wage: $11.83

APIARY TECHNICIAN (1)

Wage: $13.15- $16.00.  Dates Required: November 1, 2019 for a 2 year term position. Minimum 3 years experience preferred.

Duties: Handle and feed hives; Replacement of hives and production of nucs; Detect and report hive health and apply correct disease cures and/or controls; Keep field and/or production records; Harvest honey; Raise queens; Drive and maintain vehicles; Other duties as assigned.

THE POSITIONS: Seasonal full time, days, evenings, Saturdays as required; Medical Benefits; Language is English and Spanish; Must have own transportation; Must be able to handle heavy loads as work is physically demanding; Must work well with others and be able to learn continuously.

Interlake Honey Producers Ltd

Positions: 3 Apiary Workers

For the 2019 Honey Harvest. Those with bee sting allergies need not apply. Seasonal full time, days, evenings, and some Saturdays. Work is mostly outdoors so must be able to work under hot conditions. Start date: April 1- July 1 End date: Sept 10th – October 28th Wages: are starting at $12.94 -$16.00 depending on work experience Performance and produciton bonus may be available.

Require one or more years of apiary work experience. Duties include but not limited to feed, and care for bees, replacement of hives, moving hives, supering hives, collecting honey, working on extracting line, cleanign extracting equipment and honey house, assembling and maintaining of bee equipment, maintain and drive vehicle. Work is very physically demanding, with long days and heavy lifting.
